When in battle there is more than one soldier present. In
order to gain ground or to recover ground, civilians or an injured soldier
often times another soldier will make a choice risking their own safety to accomplish
the goal of the battle. Remember there is only one enemy he just has many
counterparts. When the soldier prepares to engage he or she will come out
of the trench to risk their safety and expose themselves to
the enemy. They will then say to their fellow soldiers “cover me". The
soldiers that are left in the trenches will shoot with intent to kill all those
that endanger the welfare of their soldier. The soldier that has engaged will
also fire and in some cases be hit and even die to accomplish what's necessary
to reach their COMMON GOAL. There are instances where they don't die but are
injured to the point that their mobility is inhibited. When this happens
another will step up and make the same sacrifice. When in warfare, though in
alot of instances they are fearful, they know that they have placed their
lives on the line for the safety of the country they represent.
Now there are those that enlist in the army for their own benefit. They want
the benefits of being in "the service". Things like having their
college tuition paid for. They want the health benefit and the house, all of
the resources that are available to VETERANS. Those that have done this have no
intentions on serving unless it’s on their terms so don’t even think about
them doing any combat. They hope to be honorably discharged without warfare.
When they are called to war they will say things like “I didn't sign up for
this". What soldier enlists without first counting up the cost that it
requires a commitment of laying down their life? Get this, not just for
warfare but even after enlisting. Once you enlist your life isn't your own. You
belong to Uncle Sam. If he says get up at 4 there is no debate. Being a soldier
is sophisticated slavery. When the master on the plantation was sick the slaves
would respond with "WE" sick. There is no "I" in
slavery or in the service. Paul said he was a prisoner in chains. He wasn't
just speaking of physical chains. We're in the service and whether we
want to or not we have to fight. There are some that enlist and others are
drafted. The called enlist-The chosen are drafted and have no choice. If you
are drafted and you do the opposite you are jailed. Either way you won't be
your own, since we are in a war it shouldn't come as a surprise when we get
shot at.
We should ALWAYS be ready. The adversary is always looking
for a weak spot to hit so that he can OVERTHROW. Every time we lose focus by being
entangled with the affairs of the world or pay too much attention to our
brothers and sisters he is able to fire hit and gain ground. We are all
strategically placed in the positions we are to meet the needs of the tactical
unit. There isn't any time to fight over who we think is a better fit. The
lieutenant and the Sergeant make choices according to the level of their
expertise. There is only one leader and in the event they are killed there is a
predecessor waiting. They aren't waiting in hopes that the other fails so that
they can be promoted. They understand the responsibility of all the lives involved.
The weight of the assignment makes them sober. There is a chain of command. We
as soldiers must follow each instruction given from that chain of command. The
GENERAL has no time to come to deal with one tactical unit because of a minute
issue that can be handled with true submission. There is no time for whether or
not if you agree. Arguing at the wrong time can cost the whole unit their
lives.
