No Shadow of Turning from God’s Presence

James 1:17 “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”

He is Infinite. Jehovah is the self-existing one. He is adorned in His Glory. Jehovah is Immutable. He is self-sufficient. Jehovah is Omnipotent in all of His Glory. Just as the sun shines bright, the presence of God shines brighter. His faces shine brighter than the sun. The Word says “There is no shadow of turning with Thee” whenever you are walking in the sun and you move your shadow shifts.

However, Jehovah does not change when there is a crisis in our day. Jehovah is Omniscient. He knew the pandemic was coming before it arrived. He is as close to us as we are to Him. He is faithful along this journey of life. He is consistent in His faithfulness towards us. He is patient and compassionate towards us. He loves us past our emotions and attitude. Some people change like the shifting shadows. God is not bipolar. Regardless whether the weather changes or the economy shifts the Lord’s Love remains the same towards us. The Bible says, “God the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Heb. 13:8). God remains the same just as he did on the previous days, the present days and the days to come. There is no inconsistency in Him. There is nothing deceitful in His nature to obstruct of His love for us.

His light is pure and doesn’t produce shadows. There is no darkness in Him. The gift God presents to us does not have a hidden agenda. His gifts are given with love. His gifts bring joy and peace along with His presence. There is no gloom at His appearance. When Jesus shows up there is no coming of darkness because He is totally a "Ray of Light". His coming eliminates every opaque silhouette. In Him, there is no absence of light. So know that Jehovah is Omnipresent. There is nowhere in which you can hide and He cannot locate you in this dispensation. He is deemed worthy!

Once upon a time, an old man spread rumors that his neighbor was a thief. As a result, the young man was arrested and put behind bars for no fault of his own. Days later, the poor man was proven innocent.
