Breaking the Chains of Comfort
Hello everyone and welcome back! I do apologize it's been quite some time since I've been active in blogging, some of my readers have been asking me to get back to blogging. Yes, I did digress from my routine blogging because I am always trying to learn something new and then sometimes life gets in the way as we know things happen. I am excited about writing this one. So let's get started, are you afraid of getting out of your comfort zone. The first step in breaking out of your zone is to do it. Author Roy T. Bennett shares the quote "the comfort zone is the psychological state in which one feels familiar, safe, calm and secure. You never change your life until you step out of your comfort zone; change begins at your comfort zone." With that being said its time to escape your comfort zone, no one likes to move beyond their comfort zone. Comfort zones can prevent us from reaching our full potential. It's always good to get out of our comfort zone, to grow, to change and expand our horizon. And yes, I know it's not easy and can be uncomfortable, but we never know unless we step outside of our comfortable. If you stay in your comfort zone you will keep getting the things you have always gotten. Trust me I struggle with it as well. Say out loud, Yesssssss, I am stepping out of my comfort zone.
The Leap of Faith
:
Would it be Faith or Fear?
I have experienced both ends of the spectrum, and when this happens with fear I begin to pray, and God brings victory and causes me to triumph in this area. Consequently, faith triumphs over fear. The bible tells us in Hebrew 11: 6 it is impossible to please Him without faith. Step out in faith and rise above what's holding you back. We must overcome and slay the giants as David did, don't run from your giants, be like David (I Samuel 17) and turn over them to God and let Him overcome them. Your greatest fear can become your greatest blessing. Just say Yes to God, to yourself, and to new opportunites. Whatever your comfort zone may be, personal, spiritual or working life I am proud of you, you are breaking the chains of comfort! You are saying yes to a new you!!!

So true. The comfort of the same old routine does not allow choices to enter the thoughts of change. Its so easy to remain complacent with the familiar. Change is indeed a choice. I like the Yes picture!!! Changes in relationships, jobs, housing all can involve a bit of fear. Yes, is a good start:).
