Your Hope Remains

Psalm 39:7 And now, Lord, what wait I for? My hope is in thee.

What are you hoping for? Hope is a most powerful word to inspire and motivate. Some meanings of hope that I have seen are very encouraging such as: Hope-Have Only Positive Expectations. Hope-Hold On Pain Ends. Hope-Hold Onto Prayer Everyday. These positive words of hope when things aren’t going right, when life deals some painful blows, when tragedy strikes can help shift our focus. Sometimes life does not go as planned, there are some unexpected we may encounter that may have us wanting to give up or just feel hopeless. Let’s deal with reality, challenges and difficulties are part of life and who doesn’t go through failures, setbacks and challenges. The blessed side is how we respond and react to them. My encouragement is to those who feel like they are at the end of their ropes and for those who feel like they have been forgotten and those who have come face to face with still another failure, it can seem as though all hope is gone. Hope against Hope Whatever the possibly you are facing, hold on to the promises of God. Proverbs 23:18 For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off. God is faithful. When the Israelites after 40 years of wandering in the wilderness on their way to the Promised Land had finally entered, oh the joy they must have felt, the promise was fulfilled.

The next time you see a rainbow in the sky, think about the hope and promise of God when He promised Noah that He would never flood the earth again with a flood. God made a rainbow appear that was the sign of His promise to Noah - Genesis 9:12-17. Noah had faith to believe what God had said unto him. We must know and understand what God hath said to us through His word and trust and believe God like Noah. In Hebrews 11:6 “ But without faith is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” I was reading the other day and came across a quote that said “When the world says, Give up,” Hope whispers, “Try it one more time.” Shift your atmosphere with a shout, “my hope will never die, my hope will never die, my hope will never die.” What you are doing is releasing an atmosphere of expectancy. An atmosphere without expectancy will destroy our dreams. It tears down the hope that is within us. Don’t give up; hold on and try it one more time. God will not fail us. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. (Jeremiah 17:7.) Never give up on God and He won’t give up on us. One thing is for sure we have an anchor of hope in God that holds and is secure. Will your anchor hold? Will you trust God?

Prayer: Father in Heaven we thank you for the good news of the gospel of Christ. Help us to hold on to your promises throughout our wilderness and flood experiences, release a renewed hope in us. Give us a hope-filled encounter and bring us into a place of expectancy knowing that you are our God who cannot lie. We thank you that things are getting ready to unfold. Hope is our expectation. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
