Train Up A Child
Proverbs 22:6 (KJV)
Train up a child in the way he should go when he is old he will not depart from it.
Valentine's Day 2-14-18
On a morning when a young man would normally be thinking about Valentine candy, flowers or even a movie: Nikolas Cruz was thinking about fulfilling his desire to shoot up a school that his ex-girlfriend attended and he was expelled from. When parents dropped their child or children off to school on Wednesday morning I am sure they all expected to see their teens alive at 3pm. The bible tells of love, patience, gentleness and wisdom. Was it Nikolas fault that he fed hate from the month of January when he posted his desire to shoot up a school on to social media. The woman that adopted and raised Nikolas and his brother died in Nov 2017. The death of a Mother will depress you and cause great disappointment. Perhaps that along with no introduction to God in his life. Proverbs makes it clear that children must be corrected and trained to understand right from wrong. An idle mind is "the devils workshop". The 21st Century is constantly evolving in numerous of deaths because of one unhappy individual. Nikolas mental breakdown was a direct result of a broken heart. Compassion in such a disaster would seem impossible but, the believer must allow the light and love of Jesus to shine.
The parents death allowed Nikolas and his brother Zachary to inherit $800k. Seventeen counts of premeditated murder in Ft. Lauderdale, will change the destiny of a 19 year old man. Hopefully, the FBI will take social media threats serious if an individual releases thoughts of shooting up a school serious.
Parents train up your child. It is not the schools responsibility or social media but, God's word tells us how to raise our children. Perhaps Nikolas would have a Destiny other than the Penitentiary for life or the death sentence if he had the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour.
