When Fear Shows Up

Fear is an uninvited guest. This encounter leads to a specific guest that tends to show up unwelcome and inhabits a place inside the mind. It's your mind and you are the boss of what goes on in there and you don't have to entertain uninvited guests. The enemy will always show up with fears and we have the power to exercise authority over the spirit of fear. God has not given us the the spirit of fear,  but of power and of love and a sound mind. (2Tim 1:7)  You are not your fears. Fear will cause spiritual paralysis. The next time you realize you are afraid or paralyzed by fear, let it go and find a place of love. Choose love as your core. God's perfect love removes all fear. We must cultivate the fear of the Lord in our hearts.

 

No matter how real your fears might seem and no matter how hard your mind 

might try to persuade you of their authenticity, it's nothing but an illusion, an 

illusion created by your mind. Fear can be blocking the answers to your prayers.

  Once you begin to feel fear, reject it. If you reject fear it can not come in. So how

 does fear come, fear comes by hearing the voice of the enemy and by pondering on his words. Don't believe the lies the enemy whispers in your ears. When the enemy whispers fearful thoughts to you, talk back to him and take authority over his threats with the Word of God.  God has given you power over the enemy. Overthrow the torments and Silence him!

 

  In addition to all of this, the fear we take in as a guest will gradually contaminate our faith,  the fear itself affects how we live out our faith. Fear is not okay. Franklin Roosevelt said "We have nothing to fear but fear itself" which can be relevant as I speak of fear here. We have to replace fear with faith, and how we do that...we replace it with the Word of God; Romans 10:17 says faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.  We don't need to fear, greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. Don't let fear intercept your purpose or stop you in your tracks. You are the catalyst. Stop it from being the culprit of your destiny, put God on your guest list.

 

  Prayer: Thank You, Lord, that I as long as You are with me I will not live in fear. Today I will walk by faith and not by what I see! Help me to never again believe the lies of the enemy that nothing will be able to separate me from the love of God. In Jesus name, Amen.

Once upon a time, an old man spread rumors that his neighbor was a thief. As a result, the young man was arrested and put behind bars for no fault of his own. Days later, the poor man was proven innocent.
