Conquering your Crossroads

Image
Photo Credit: Freeimages Hello beloveds and welcome back! I know it has been awhile since I written a post and to give a bit of context of my distance, life for me had gotten busy since I am a university student my focus is challenging school work and the reality of my elderly mother whose physical health has declined over the past four years. To God be the Glory, mentally speaking she's alive and well. Even in this God was and still is in control. In life we may face some crossroads and sometimes crossroads and the crossroads of choices will determine our destiny and change our path. Truthfully speaking, these crossroads are significant in defining where I am going at this present juncture in my life. So, another chapter opens in my life,  I was going to write about something else however I decided to write my reality.  I pray all is well with everyone near and far as  we shift into the middle of a new month and approach the end of the year.   My year has been a year o

Invisible Made Visible

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all? When we look into the mirror daily most of us already know that we are the fairest if them all.  As time continues to pass some of see a new wrinkle, pimple or an age spot.  Appearance means a lot in this world around us.  The truth be told we live in a generation when appearance is a number one priority in all cultures.   Today with social media we are rearing youth that are more concerned with the way they look than their grades or goals for college. We want them to be popular but at whose expense when everyone does not have the luxury of credit cards at 14 and homes valued at $300K. The results of children who feel like you owe them is that they will be selfish and feel like they are due whatever comes their way. The minute you say no you will see a t

Glory Carriers

When the Children of Israel were out in the wilderness God instructed Moses on Mt Sinai to build him a place of habitation and to call it the Tent of Meeting. He desired to be amongst the people. This tent allowed him to be closer. In the tent was where The Ark of the covenant abided, and His Glory rested there. His Glory was so sacred that only the priest was allowed to go before the ark. If they were found to be unclean, they died. God still desired the communion he once had with men and longed to be closer. He robed himself in flesh (Jesus) and came down and dwelt among us so that he could be touched with the feelings of our infirmities and overcome sin and death for us while in the flesh. He became the sacrifice that redeemed us and enabled us to be able to approach the throne of grace to obtain mercy. There are many who are anointed and called and there ar

Appreciation Goes a Long Way

Image
Hello Beloveds, Today's post focus on the inspiring Story of The Power of Appreciation. I was about ten. My mom had just finished creating one of her amazing meals, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Delicious. Later, as I was washing the dishes, my mom came up to me. “Sorry, dinner was so awful again,” she said. I was shocked. “What? No, it was great. I loved it. “Really?” she said, with mock surprise. “You always eat so quietly, never saying anything. You’ve never told me you liked my cooking, so I thought you hated it.' “No, you’re the best cook I know.” “Then you should tell me that,” she said. “Whenever someone does something nice for you, you should thank that person. If you don’t, then she might think she’s not appreciated and stop doing those nice things." Something clicked right then. From that day onward, I thanked everyone for literally everything. If anyone did something that even vaguely helped me, I thanked that person profusely. It became a habit, som

God is the Architect

Hello Beloveds, I know it has been a while since I have written a post, I've been on a sort of blog-hiatus. I've been spending time soul searching, reflecting, and in hope and eager expectation of rebuilding my new endeavors from the last chapter to my next one. After brainstorming, I had to prioritize my life-values goals and assess my life's purpose. Regardless of who or where you are one must prioritize discovering their purpose in life. Psalm 57:2 (AMP) says, I cry out to God Most High, who accomplishes all things on my behalf for He completes my purposes. We must trust God's divine plan and let Him be our guide knowing God is the Chief Architect and Master Builder of everything. God will take us through construction sites to shape us for His purposes. God sees the big picture. He knows the plans that He has for us, He has a specific plan for each one of us. God’s plan for our life must be consulted with the chief architect, God Himself; the designer, and

Today's Reflection-Wounds of Gossip

Once upon a time, an old man spread rumors that his neighbor was a thief. As a result, the young man was arrested and put behind bars for no fault of his own. Days later, the poor man was proven innocent. After being released, he sued the old man for wrongly accusing him.  In court, the old man told the judge, ‘ They were just random comments, they did not harm anyone.’ The judge, before passing sentence on the case, told the old man,  ‘write all the bad things you said about him on a piece of paper. Cut it up into little pieces and on the way home, throw the pieces of paper out of your car window. Tomorrow, you come back to hear the sentence.’   The next day, the judge told the old man,  ‘Before receiving the sentence, I want you to go out and gather up all the pieces of paper that you threw out of your car window yesterday.  The old man said,  ‘I cannot do that. The wind spread them all over the place and I will not know where to find them . "Then the judge replied,  ‘The s
